FACTORY OF NOTHING TAPES
FACTORY OF NOTHING TAPES is a dance performance dedicated to the art of improvisation and instant composition on stage. The four performers embark on a journey of expression and communication, weaving together sound, movement and imagery. Shaping the space with vibrant tapes, they aim to cultivate an environment of playful curiosity.
For performers, the practice of improvisation and instant composition on stage requires them to allow themselves to be spontaneous and honest, and therefore vulnerable. Without the safety net of predetermined choreography, they navigate the stage in real time, responding to the dynamic interaction between themselves and their environment. Every gesture is a testament to their ability to listen and adapt. Such extensive improvisation tests the limits of physical endurance, mental concentration and the desire to remain creative.
For the audience, engaging with such a performance can also be challenging and hopefully interesting. It is an exercise in active participation. Without the security of narrative or structure, the audience is invited to explore the performance from their own perspective, interpreting events through the lens of their own experience and perception. The open-ended nature of the experience can sometimes be demanding, challenging their expectations and prompting reflection on the role of performance itself.
FACTORY OF NOTHING TAPES invites both artists and audiences to embrace vulnerability and reflect on the importance of creating spaces where individuals can authentically belong.
To ensure a welcoming atmosphere, we encourage audiences to come and go as they please, sharing as much time and energy as they wish.
